Making homemade fresh pasta is amazing. I say once you go fresh, you’ll never go back to boxed. Why? It’s fun to make and a breeze thanks to the KitchenAid. There are 3 different attachment kits you can buy to make various noodles. In my recipe below, I used the KitchenAid Pasta Press to make Bucatini. The texture of fresh noodles are simply divine and when I used to eat boxed pasta, I found I was smothering my noodles with sauce. If you’ve ever traveled through Italy, you know it’s all about the noodles. My boyfriend likes to eat Paleo, or grain-free, if you haven’t heard of that form of a diet. We have a KitchenAid Spiralizer he uses to make vegetable “noodles” with. In this video he shows you how to use the attachment with a sweet potato.
My sauce is from scratch; using the KitchenAid Food Grinder to make fresh ground pork, a Vitamix 7500 to puree my tomatoes, and a 3.5 quart Le Creuset Dutch Oven to prepare it all in.
